Aida Arefayne is a pharmacist. She received her Bachelors of Pharmacy from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia in 2007. She is the Pharmacovigilance coordinator for the PAVIA project in Ethiopia. Aida has been working on pharmacovigilance for more than six years. Her experience includes activities in promoting Pharmacovigilance through training of healthcare professionals, developing national standards and guidelines and preparation of medicines’ safety information publications including newsletters and bulletins. Working in the National Medicine Regulatory Authority, she has been the national pharmacovigilance focal person responsible for Pharmacovigilance data collection, entry and analysis.  She also has experience in the area of medicine’s registration and worked as a Regulatory Affairs & Quality Assurance Officer.
