Cassandra Aishatu Elagbaje is a pharmacist by profession. She obtained her Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm.) from Liverpool John Moores University, Liverpool United Kingdom in 2002. She has also done a certificate course on Pharmaco Epidermiology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, London in 2014. She is the Pharmacovigilance coordinator for the PAVIA project in Nigeria and has over 9 years’ experience working extensively on the field specifically in implementing.Pharmacovigilance supportive interventions around Nigeria. Her experience on Pharmacovigilance includes training of health managers and health providers on pharmacovigilance and its activities; development of guidelines, standard operating procedures, data collection tools; supervision, data analysis, reporting and dissemination.

She has also worked with the Nigerian Medicine Regulatory Authority as a regulatory officer

Where she was the Focal Affordable Medicines Facility Malaria (AMFm) Program Officer. Her main responsibility was the co-ordination of collaborations with the Federal Ministry of Health Nigeria teams and donor partner organizations in promoting public health programs in Nigeria specifically on the roll back malaria program. She is involved in research and has published studies in collaboration with other authors.
