Henry Tumwijukye

Henry is a lawyer from Makerere University, Kampala with extensive post‐graduate training in Management and Administration. He has over 20 years of experience working with medical and academic research institutions especially in capacity strengthening initiatives. He currently holds a consulting portfolio with the Amsterdam Institute for Global Health and Development (AIGHD) in Uganda as a Country Director (which is hosted and embedded within the Clinical Trials Unit of the Makerere University College of Health Sciences). Through this role, he acts as an Assistant Coordinator for the PAVIA project. In addition to providing coordination support to Prof. Frank Cobelens (the Coordinator of PAVIA project), he also provides additional support to
WP2 that deals with review of the country – specific PV laws and regulations.

In the past, he has been actively engaged in other capacity –development initiatives at Makerere University College of Health
Sciences (MakCHS) aimed at strengthening Research management activities through his position with the Amsterdam Institute for Global Health and Development (AIGHD).
