Linda Härmark studied pharmacy at the University of Uppsala, Sweden. After graduation she relocated to the Netherlands where she joined the Netherlands Pharmacovigilance Centre Lareb in 2004. In 2011 she registered as an epidemiologist after attending the Master of Epidemiology programme at the EMGO institute, Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam. In 2012 she defended her PhD thesis entitled “Web-based intensive monitoring, a new patient based pharmacovigilance tool” at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. She currently holds the position of Head of Innovation and projects at Lareb. She has broad experience in all facets concerning the reporting of ADRs, ranging from creating awareness for reporting, to designing ICSR databases and everything in between. She is also the Lareb lead participants in international projects such as IMI WEB-RADR and the EDCTP PAVIA and PROFORMA projects as well as the coordinator for Lareb’s activites as a WHO Collaborating Centre for pharmacovigilance in Education and Patient reporting. Her main research area is patient involvement in pharmacovigilance and the use of web-based intensive monitoring to gather information about ADRs .
